It’s been a rough week for working out. Life and weather keeps intruding as life and weather are want to do. The good news is on the weekly way in I was down 2Lbs. Yay. The bad I wasn’t down as much as I’d like. I’m facing a pretty busy weekend as well, which means less time for biking, etc. I find the hardest thing is coming home from work and getting myself to work out. I’m doing better with substituting the healthy snacks. Carrot sticks not just for horses. But it is the commitment to the time it takes to do a little exercising that I keep wanting to dodge.
My favorite form of exercise is a nice long bike ride. I’ve had a Specialized Dolce Road Bike for about a year now. I love how much speedier it feels to ride on the rode then it ever felt riding the dirt trails. Also I’m less likely to get eaten alive by mosquitos or have the trail too wet to ride on. (I’ve never liked mud and dirt. Making mudpies was more my sister’s thing.) Riding a bike lets me be outside in Florida’s wet, hot summer without getting too overheated. Plus I’ve discovered some really nice paved trails and places I’d never had seen except on a bike.
The problem I’ve been having the past week though is committing to the excercise portion of weight loss. Without movement, I can’t really change my body shape. I know that I have to exert some effort here. I have a goal, and I’ve had a goal. This time I’d like to meet my goal. So after I successfully complete each work out, I’ll tweet it. I hope that way I’ll have a trail to follow later to know whether or not I’ll reach said goal.

Film is nice PopCorny affair – Light on substance.
